On Thursday afternoon when the sun was shining, the Site Manager and I planned a fire drill. It is important that we do at least one a term to keep everyone vigilant and to review our procedures.
No one else in the academy was aware that it was a drill so you get a real life experience. I happened to have been showing some visitors around at the time and they were amazed at the excellent conduct of the students. When the whole school was outside on the playground there was absolute silence. We have worked hard as a community over the last 3 1/2 years to reach such standards so it was a credit to all.
