I had a delightful email come though to me today from an ex student who attended Erdington Girls School and left in 1988. They are planing a 30 year reunion and as part of the celebrations we are going to welcome them to visit the academy.
In my 32 years as a teacher and leader I have had the good fortune to be able to deliver leaving speeches to many Cohorts of Year 11 and Year 13s and I always remind them that during their 5 years or 7 years, and whatever time we work here as staff, we are just custodians following in the footsteps of all those who have gone before. I also love the thought that those to come in the future will remember us and our contribution.
