Welcome to this first parent and carer newsletter for the Autumn Term. We want to keep you updated with some important events in school each half term which will support your child’s education and celebrate wider school life. Please give any feedback on what you would like including in the newsletter to email@example.com
I would like to incorporate a ‘YOU SAID – WE DID’ article in our half termly newsletters. Perhaps you would like to contribute an article about work you are doing in the community or any events you would like to highlight.
Each Friday morning you will receive an e-mail with information about your child’s week at school including behaviour and attendance data, as well as achievements points. Please support school in going through this with your child, celebrating their achievements and discussing any issues surrounding punctuality and behaviour. If you want further feedback, then please contact the Heads of Year.
You will soon be receiving a Parent Curriculum Guide with details of what your child will be studying over the next half term in their subjects.
We would like to thank you for your support as parents/carers in the fantastic attendance data we have at Erdington Academy, which is above the national average. Last year our attendance figure was 95%, and we achieved the same last half term.
If you visit the school website, you will also find lots of up to date information on what’s happening in school beneath the tab Academy Life – Parent and Carer information. Don’t forget to also sign up for the MyEd app and follow our TWITTER social media account.
