Return to School letter

Dear Parents/Carers

I hope this letter finds you well.

As we look forward to welcoming students return to school this week I just wanted to provide you all with a brief update from the letter dated 01 March 2021.

Return Plans:  Today and tomorrow students continue to work from home, unless they have been part of our student body already attending school.  This has been to enable the capacity for school testing to begin.  Thank you to all those who have given consent and attended your appointments.

On Wednesday 10th March all students return to school, this is regardless of if you have given consent for a test.  Students are to return in full uniform and at the time and gate as previously in operation through the autumn term.  Appropriate sanctions will be in place for students who do not conform with the school uniform policy.

School Tests 2 and 3: On Thursday and Friday this week and Tuesday and Wednesday next week test 2 and 3 will take place.  These will operate in the school day and students will be called out of lessons to minimise disruption, please send students into school as normal, testing will only happen for students that we have previously been given parental consent.

Home Testing: From the week beginning 22nd March all students are expected to conduct home testing, Mr Bartlett will be writing to you next week with details regarding this.

Face Masks: As from Wednesday, unless you have a school exemption card face masks should be worn in all inside spaces.  This is for the protection of all, if students do not have face masks then adjustments for the safety of all will be made.  These will be ensuring they wait behind at exit and entry times until the corridors are clear and restricted access to the lunch hall.  Please be aware if your child loses their mask during the day they me be slightly late in leaving school.

Year 11 Grades: We are currently well underway with our planning regarding the evidence bases we will be using to determine year 11 GCSE grades, in the coming weeks Mrs Mabbett will be sending home documentation and inviting you to an online meeting to explain further.

Thank you for your continued support

Yours faithfully

S Mallett
