Important Information Regarding EID and Year 11 Exams

Dear Parent/Carer,

I hope this message finds you well. I would like to extend my thanks for your continued support in ensuring that all Year 11 students are present and focused during this crucial examination period. Your efforts are appreciated, and we cannot overstate the importance of full attendance at this time.

As you are aware external examinations are governed by national regulations, and students are required to attend all scheduled exams as outlined by the exam boards. These assessments play a vital role in shaping students’ future opportunities, and every exam counts towards the overall grade.

We understand that Eid may fall during the exam period this year. We fully recognise and respect the importance of this special celebration for many of our families. While we encourage students to observe and enjoy Eid, we must also inform you that if an exam is scheduled on the same day, attendance remains mandatory. Exam boards do not offer special consideration or alternative arrangements for absence due to religious holidays. Missing an exam will result in a score of zero for that paper, which will significantly impact your child’s final grade and overall academic achievement.

We understand the importance of balancing faith and education, and we appreciate your support in ensuring that your child can fulfil their exam obligations while observing Eid in a meaningful way outside of scheduled assessments.

Should you have any concerns or require further clarification, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Thank you for your continued support.
