Dear Parent/Carer,
It is vitally important that we are able to contact parents in the case of an emergency. Please can you log on to MCAS to check that the emergency contact details for your child/ren are up to date. Please also check that the school contact number has not been ‘blocked’ in your address book by accident; inaccurate details or the inability for us to leave a message can create a number of difficulties for the team in school. If you need some assistance please contact the school.
Please also be reminded of the expectation that you contact school before 8am in the morning if your child/ren is too unwell to attend that day. The number here is 0121 373 1080 and you need to select option 1 to leave a message for the Attendance Team. It is likely that someone from Attendance or the Pastoral Team will call you back to discuss your child’s absence and if we are not able to contact you, it might then become necessary for us to conduct a Home Visit.
If your child is unwell first thing in the morning, but improves towards the middle of the day, please ensure that they attend for the afternoon session. This way, they miss as little as possible of their learning.
