Enrichment Day letter Year 11 – 14/9/2026

14th September 2026

Dear Parents and Carers,

We are excited to announce that our first of two Enrichment Days will take place on Tuesday September 29, 2026. This special day is designed to provide students with a range of inspiring activities and experiences beyond the regular curriculum, helping to broaden their horizons and develop essential life skills.

Why Enrichment Matters:
Enrichment activities play a vital role in nurturing creativity, teamwork, resilience, and curiosity in our students. By participating in workshops, trips, and hands-on sessions, students gain valuable insights and experiences that can transform their outlook and aspirations for the future. These opportunities help to build confidence, foster new interests, and support personal growth—benefits that last well beyond the classroom.

This year, Year 11 students will have the exciting opportunity to participate in different workshops and develop better financial literacy:

Banking essentials

Budgeting and spending habits

Saving for your future

Borrowing money and credit scores

Fraud and your money (All sessions are delivered by the HSBC Team)

How You Can Help:
To make this day as impactful and memorable as possible, we kindly ask for a £10 contribution per student. Your support will help us cover the costs of a variety of activities, materials, and transportation, ensuring that every child can take part in the full range of experiences on offer.

Why Contribute?
Your contribution helps us cover the costs of:

  • Entry fees and workshop materials
  • Transportation to and from venues
  • Specialist facilitators and resources
  • Ensuring all students can participate, regardless of financial circumstances

It is important that your child attends Enrichment Day, as it supports key areas of the Year 10  curriculum and provides valuable learning experiences beyond the classroom. Participation also contributes towards badge awards, recognising students’ commitment, personal development, and engagement with school life.

We understand that times can be challenging, and we are grateful for any support you can provide.

Thank you for helping us enrich the lives of our students and invest in their future success.
