Dear Parents and Carers of Year 11 Students,
As we begin an important stage of the Year 11 journey, we would like to invite you and your child to attend a Year 11 Revision Workshop Evening at Erdington Academy.
Date: Tuesday 13th October
Time: 5:00pm to 6:00pm
Venue: Erdington Academy
This event has been designed to support both students and parents in preparing effectively for the upcoming mock examinations, which begin on November 4th.
During the session, students and parents will:
- Learn revision techniques that are proven to improve learning and retention.
- Receive guidance on how to use Sparx Maths and Sparx Science effectively to support independent study.
- Be provided with exam resources for the upcoming mocks.
- Receive subject-specific information and advice to help students prepare successfully for their mock examinations.
- Gain a clear understanding of what students should be doing between now and the start of the mock exam period.
The Year 11 mock examinations are extremely important as they provide students with valuable experience of the exam process, help identify strengths and areas for improvement, and generate key information that staff use to support students in achieving their best possible outcomes in the summer examinations. Strong preparation for these mocks will help students build confidence and establish effective study habits for the remainder of the academic year.
We strongly encourage all Year 11 students and their parents/carers to attend this event to ensure they are fully equipped for the months ahead.
