Autumn Term 2 – Parent Update
As we enter the second half of the Autumn Term, we are pleased to share a series of upcoming events and activities that reflect the values of tradition, community, and creativity at Erdington Academy.
Bake Off Competition – Thursday 20th November
Students and staff are invited to participate in our celebration cake competition, inspired by cartoon characters. Entries will be judged during the staff briefing, with staff enjoying a slice of the creations. Photographs of the cakes will be shared with students during form time. We look forward to showcasing the creativity of our school community.
Pantomime Trip – 9th, 10th, and 11th December
Selected students will have the opportunity to attend a festive pantomime at Sutton Town Hall. This trip offers a wonderful chance to experience live theatre and celebrate the holiday season.
School Christmas Dinner – Wednesday 17th December
Our traditional Christmas lunch will be available to students for £2.40.
Main Options:
- Roast Turkey or Chicken
- “Not” Chicken Fillet (vegetarian option)
- Roast Potatoes, Brussel Sprouts, Glazed Carrots, Stuffing, Pigs in Blankets & Gravy
Desserts:
- Christmas Cookie
- Mince Pie & Custard
Christmas Concert & Community Dinner – Thursday 18th December (5:30–7:30 PM)
We warmly invite students, families, staff, and local residents to join us for an evening of festive music and food. Tickets are priced at £3 per person.
Menu Highlights:
- Roasted Turkey/Chicken, Roast Salmon, Honey & Pineapple Glazed Gammon, Honey Glazed Quorn
- Roast Potatoes, Pigs in Blankets, Parsnips, Yorkshire Pudding, Brussel Sprouts, Stuffing, Cranberry Sauce
- Christmas Pudding, Mince Pies & Custard
Christmas Jumper Day – Friday 19th December
To conclude the term with festive spirit, students are invited to wear their favourite Christmas jumper.
