Welcome to Erdington Academy Parent, Teacher & Family Association!
This page is dedicated to the Parent Teacher Family Association (PTFA). The PTFA is passionate about supporting the school community and the children who attend the Academy.
The main two functions of the PTFA are:
- To raise additional funds to enhance children’s school experience
- To create events the school community will enjoy attending

How we raise funds and spend the donations
Like most PTAs, the majority of our funds are raised through the events that we run.
The PTA committee are responsible for deciding how our PTA funds are spent. Funds are typically spent on the ‘extras’ that are not provided by the school’s budget, thus making our children’s learning experiences so much more fulfilling and exciting. The staff team represented on the PTFA seek ideas from the staff, including the senior leadership team about how best to spend the money. We also invite input from parents too.
DO YOU HAVE ENTHUSIASM, ENERGY AND IDEAS FOR FUNDRAISING? CAN YOU SPARE AN HOUR OR TWO TO SUPPORT OUR EVENTS?
Our PTFA always welcomes new members to join them in organising events. We understand that everyone has commitments and busy lives so any time you can give, even just an hour for one event, will be very much appreciated.
