Parental Letter – 05/12/2025

5 December 2025

Dear Parents and Carers,

Message from the Principal:

This week we have had an issue in some of the classrooms with our heating. Temporary heaters had been put into place to ensure classrooms were as comfortable as possible.

I am now pleased to report that the engineers have fixed the problem and full heating has been restored to the whole school.

Can I publicly thank our site team for swiftly making arrangements to manage and resolve the problem.

Mr Mallett

Principal

This week, our value focus is Integrity – doing the right thing even when no one is watching. Integrity underpins everything we do, from safeguarding to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all students, as we come to the end of the term I would like to just update you on a few items.

Lockdown Drill

As part of our commitment to safety, we have informed all parents that the school will be conducting a lockdown drill between now and the end of term. This is a precautionary measure to ensure that correct procedures are in place to safeguard students and staff in the unlikely event of a real lockdown situation. Thank you for your support in helping us maintain these high standards.

Reports and Interventions

Reports for Years 7–10 will be issued in the last week of term. Year 11 parents’ evening will take place on Thursday 11th December, and reports will be shared then. The information from these reports will help us refine our morning intervention sessions to better support students’ learning – further details will follow.

Careers Support

We are pleased to offer an Apprenticeship Application Support Session for Year 10 and Year 11 students and parents, in partnership with Graham Construction. This will take place on Monday 8th December 4pm – 5pm – please note that this is an event for parents or families, no students must attend unaccompanied.
