12 December 2025
Dear Parents and Carers,
As we approach the end of a busy and successful term, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support. It has been a privilege to see our students demonstrate the Academy values in so many ways:
Ambition – evident in the way all year groups approached their KS3 BASE assessments and KS4 mock examinations with determination and focus.
Dedication – shown through students’ participation in every aspect of school life, both inside and outside the classroom.
Integrity and Excellence – reflected in excellent attendance and punctuality. Arriving every day, ready to learn, is a vital part of success.
Tradition – seen in the hundreds of small, positive interactions we witness daily, where students show good manners, kindness, and respect to one another and to staff.
Thank you for working in partnership with us to make this possible. We look forward to continuing this journey together in the new year.
Reports
Student reports will be issued on Monday, 15th December, via the MCAS app. Please take time to review these with your child.
Changes for Year 11
In response to recent data, there will be some changes to the structure of certain forms, particularly for Year 11, to ensure students are maximising their lesson time in CORE subjects ahead of their exams. Further details will be shared with students and parents in January.
End of Term Arrangements
Please note that school will close earlier on our last day of term, Friday, 19th December 2025.
Start time: 8:40am (as normal)
Finish time: 12:30pm
If parents have any issue with their child leaving at this time, please let the main office know by Tuesday 16th December 2025 and we make accommodation for them until the end of the school day.
If your child normally has a free school meal, their lunch will be available for them to collect unless you notify the main office that it is not needed.
We understand the importance of family traditions and the joy that the holiday season brings. We hope this adjustment allows you and your family to make the most of this special time together.
Start of Spring Term
We look forward to welcoming students back on Monday, 5th January 2026, in full school uniform, ready for an 8:40am start.
Wishing you and your family a restful and joyful holiday season.
Warm regards,
Ms Cross
Head of Academy
