Dear Parents and Carers,
I would like to take a moment to sincerely thank you for your support and cooperation as we have worked together to navigate the recent heat spell. Your understanding and partnership have been invaluable, and we are truly grateful for the way our community has come together during this time.
From Monday, the weather is forecast to be cooler and more typical for this time of year. As a result, we ask that all students attend in full school uniform. A reminder that, while blazers and ties are compulsory, jumpers are optional. Staff will continue to take a sensible and flexible approach to the wearing of blazers in classrooms, and please be assured that student comfort and wellbeing are always carefully considered.
As a profession, and as an academy, we recognise that periods of extreme weather may become more common. With this in mind, we are committed to developing longer-term, sustainable solutions that ensure students’ learning is not disrupted. Our priority remains to provide a safe, supportive environment where all students can continue to thrive, whatever the conditions.
