8 September 2026
Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope you and your family have had an enjoyable summer break.
It was a real pleasure to welcome students back to Erdington Academy. Students have returned looking smart, positive and ready to make the most of the opportunities ahead of them.
During our first assemblies, we spoke about The Erdington Way and our values of Excellence, Dedication, Ambition, Integrity and Tradition. We reminded students that success comes from working hard, showing kindness and making the most of every opportunity. Every child at Erdington Academy has the potential to achieve great things, and we are excited to support them on that journey.
As we begin a new academic year, I would like to highlight the importance of communication between home and the Academy.
We know that students achieve the best outcomes when schools and families work together. Strong communication helps us celebrate successes, address concerns quickly and provide the right support when it is needed.
We are committed to keeping you informed and listening to your views. In return, we ask parents and carers to engage with our communication platforms, keep contact details up to date and contact us as early as possible if there is anything that may affect their child’s wellbeing, attendance or learning.
If you are worried about something, please get in touch. Most concerns can be resolved quickly through open and positive communication.
