Dear parents and carers,

As one academic year ends, it is time to start to think about the new academic year ahead.

We will begin the new academic year 2024/25 with a staggered start in September.  Please read the information carefully bellow to ensure there is a smooth start to the new academic year.

Year 7 will return on Wednesday 4^th September and will be required to arrive promptly at 8:40 am. To make the transition to the Academy as smooth as possible, Year 7 will be the only year group on site for the first day and will be provided with a snack and drink for their break time. However, lunch will not be provided therefore students will need either a packed lunch or money available on their Parent Pay app (see previous communication regarding activation of Parent Pay).  In addition, they will spend the day following a bespoke curriculum called “The Erdington Way” to help them get used to and learn all about life within the Academy.  Students will not be required to bring their PE kit for the first day but will be required to attend in full school uniform.

All year groups are expected on site from Thursday 5^th September. Only Year 7 and 11 can access the site from the back gate on Thursday, all other year groups need to enter via the front gate at their allocated time.   Please read the information below carefully as the start time for each year group is staggered.  It is important that all students arrive at the allocated start time promptly in full school uniform.  The day for all students in Years 8 – 11 will start with a very important assembly, so a punctual arrival is important. Year 7 students will go directly to their form rooms via the black side gate.

We will send further communication regarding the above prior to the start of the new academic year.
