Year 10 Work Experience and Work-Related Learning

07 July 2025

Dear Parent/Carer,

RE: Year 10 Work Experience and Work-Related Learning

Monday 14th – Wednesday 16th July

At Erdington Academy, we are committed to providing our students with meaningful learning experiences that extend beyond the classroom. As part of our wider Careers Education Information Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) provision, all Year 10 students will take part in a variety of Work-related Learning Programmes, running from Monday 14th July – Wednesday 16th July. Whilst students do not go off site as a year group during term time to complete work experience, students are encouraged to organise work experience during their own time. A list of virtual work experience opportunities are available through their ‘Springpod’ Virtual Work Experience Programmes   What is Virtual Work Experience with Springpod? | Springpod and ‘Start’ online careers platform  Start – Careers Information  .

The activities and workshops organised for them have been carefully planned to help them prepare for year 11 and beyond.
