Return to School: staggered Start Times and New Term Induction
As we approach the end of the summer Holidays, we wanted to write to you again to outline some important information regarding students return to the academy in September 2024.
To facilitate a smooth transition of both our new and exciting students to the new academic year, we will be implementing a staggered start to the term with different start times for each year group.
We kindly request that you read the information below carefully and that you support the academy by ensuring that all students arrive promptly for their designated arrival time, in full school uniform, equipped for the day ahead.
The information below outlines when and where your child should report to.
Wednesday 4th September –
Year 7 only will be required to attend.

| Year 7 | 8:40 am | Entrance via the main entrance only.
Students will be escorted directly to the assembly hall for a welcome assembly. |
Thursday 5th September
All year groups are expected on site from Thursday 5th September. Only Year 7 and 11 can access the site from the back gate on Thursday, all other year groups need to enter via the front gate at their allocated time.
Year 7 and Year 11 only students are permitted to enter via the back gate on this day.

Students will be escorted directly to the assembly hall for a welcome assembly. |
All students will spend their first day on site following a bespoke curriculum called the “Erdington Way” which is designed to ensure that all students are familiar with both the routines and habits needed to be successful at Erdington Academy.
