Dates for your diary Autumn Term Sep-Dec 2024
As we start a new academic year, I would like to welcome our new parents and carers of year 7, as well as extend and deepen our links with parents and carers of years 8-11.
Your support of your child whilst at Erdington Academy goes hand and hand with their academic and personal achievements. Erdington Academy achieved the Leading Parent Partnership Award and is proud of the many ways we communicate and work with you.
Parents Evenings are an opportunity for you to discuss how your child is doing in class and in school generally with their teachers. They can help decide how best to work together to support your children’s achievement. Your child’s latest report should help you to spot issues you want to discuss.
I would like to give you advance notice of the dates during the Autumn Term:
| Year 11 Cohort 25 Evening Thursday 26th September 6-7.30 pm |
| Year 7 ‘Settling in’ Evening Thursday 17th October 4-5.30 |
| Year 11 Parents’ Evening Thursday 12th December 4-7pm |
You will also have the chance to meet members of the Senior Leadership Team at Parents Forum, where information and curriculum developments will be shared with you. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and give your opinions.

We also have a strong Parent Teacher and Friends Association which would warmly invite new parents and carers to join. If you would like information on joining the PTFA, then please contact Mrs. Kathryn Wright, Vice Principal at k.wright@erdington.fmat.co.uk

You are also advised to download the MyChildatSchool app where you can access resources and information on your child’s attendance, rewards and sanctions as well as other important information and letters.
