Dear Parent/Carer,
RE: Year 7 Enrichment visit, Boundless Outdoor Education
Monday October 16th, 9.00-4.00pm.
As part of the Enrichment provision at Erdington Academy, your child has been chosen to take part in an educational visit to Boundless Outdoor Education on October 16th 2023.
The aim of enrichment days is to enrich lives and transform futures by providing opportunities to try new and varied activities that may not strictly fit into the curriculum, but that develop character, resilience and motivation, because we place a great emphasis on personal development.
The aim of this trip is to provide students with a first-hand experience of developing
team work, and problem solving in the outdoors.
Students should arrive at school as normal, attend registration and then will leave
school at 9.00am.
Students will be experiencing adventurous activities, so they should wear a tracksuit,
school PE kit and a suitable pair of trainers. We advise that students also bring an
appropriate outdoor coat. Students will travel to and from the venue by coach, and
traffic permitting they should arrive back at school by the end of the school day.
Students should bring a packed lunch, and any students who receive a free school
meal will be given a packed lunch in school before departure.
Places on the visits are subject to the exemplary behaviour of your child as an ambassador of Erdington Academy. Any breach in behaviour prior to the visits may result in your child being removed from the visit.
If your child has any additional physical needs, other than those already advised, please inform Mrs Archer, Head of year 7 who is leading the visit.
