Dear Parent/Carer,
RE: Year 9 Enrichment day, Subject passion day
Monday October 16th,
As part of the Enrichment provision at Erdington Academy, your child will be
participating in subject passion day on October 16th 2023.
The aim of enrichment days is to enrich lives and transform futures by providing opportunities to try new and varied activities that may not strictly fit into the curriculum, but that develop character, resilience and motivation, because we place a great emphasis on personal development.
Students should arrive at school as normal, attend registration and then will go to their allocated subject for the day.
Your child has already been given an opportunity to express a preference for the
subject that he/she/ they would like to study for the day, and they have also seen the exciting activities that are on offer.
They include: investigating how beliefs are portrayed in movies, various arts and crafts, a range of sports, learning about modern foreign languages in the media, the
mathematics of golf, how to set up a business and photography.
Students should wear full school uniform as normal.
